Joseph W. Weeks has represented hundreds of clients in federal and state court. He focuses his legal practice on representing Clients in civil cases where someone has been injured.
Joseph completed his legal education at Georgia State University College of Law, where he obtained a Juris Doctor degree in 2006. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar Association that same year. After law school, Joseph joined the law firm of McNally & Edwards as an associate. One year later he became a partner in the law firm now known as McNally Weeks, which has been continuously operating in DeKalb County since the early 1980s.
Joseph is admitted to practice in all Georgia State trial Courts, and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
He is admitted to practice in the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of the United States District Court. He is a former board member of the DeKalb County Bar Association and member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Joseph was selected as a “Rising Stars” by Superlawers.com from 2015 – 2020. Joseph has been lead counsel for the plaintiff on several cases with verdicts in excess of a million dollars. Among these, in 2021, he obtained a judgment for a Plaintiff in the amount of $10,146,515.24 in a complex tort case styled Karim v. David, State Court of DeKalb County, CAFN 18A68967-7. In 2016, Joseph obtained a jury verdict in the Northern District in the amount of $5,400,000.00 in a complex tort case styled Rinehart v. GFI Managment Services, United States District Court, Atlanta Division CAFN1:13-cv-03304-ELR. He has numerous other large verdicts and settlements which are subject to confidentiality orders. In 2019, Joseph successfully represented a Plaintiff in the appellate reversal of a trial Court’s grant of Summary Judgment in a case styled Simon v. Murphy, 350 Ga. App. 291, 829 S.E.2d 380 (2019).
